☆☆☆ KEEP YOURSELVES FROM IDOLS ☆☆☆
For every one of the house of Israel, or of the stranger that sojourneth in Israel, which separateth himself from me, and setteth up his idols in his heart, and putteth the stumblingblock of his iniquity before his face, and cometh to a prophet to enquire of him concerning me;
I the LORD will answer him by myself:
and I will set my face against that man, and will make him a sign and a proverb, and I will cut him off from the midst of my people;
and ye shall know that I am the LORD.

When we make other things more important than God, we are working to separate ourselves from Him.
•
When we do good acts even though we’re living in idolatry (hypocrisy), God “will set His face against” us as a warning to others not to do the same thing.
•
God knows our walk with Him will get out of balance when He’s not our priority.
•
He wants us to have full, abundant, blessed lives, but if we worship or value other things more than Him, we won’t experience the life He would have for us.
•
If you love something dearly, shall you not love the One who created it, and made it possible?
•
Have you allowed anyone or anything to become more important to you than God? How can you give Him priority in your life?

And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ.
This is the true God, and eternal life.
